Created in the early 1960s by Asaf Messerer, the ballet “Class Concert” was adapted and performed by the Bolshoi in 2011. Artistic directors Victor & Tatiana Kasatsky are now bringing this rarely performed ballet with original choreography to the stage at Irvine Valley College Theater with it’s romanticized version of the ballet class rigors from barre exercises to center stage displays of beauty and strength. The “Class Show” will be performed by V&T Classical Ballet’s award-winning academy students showcasing their excellent technique, artistry, and difficult dance combinations in the effortless vaganova style the studio is so famous for.
The Class Show will be followed by V&T academy’s annual Spring Recital featuring class performances by level.
